The Beaver River Watershed Alliance is developing an Integrated Watershed Management Plan and wants to involve interested stakeholder groups and individuals in the community.
The plan identifies and prioritizes the issues and problems in the watershed, proposes solutions (management actions) and directs that advice to the agencies and organizations most appropriate to implement them. Stakeholder involvement in the planning process will lead to a plan that considers everyone’s issues and interests.
Over the next year, there will be a number of opportunities for you to get involved and provide input on the watershed plan. Opportunities for input will be posted here.
If you or anyone you know would be interested in participating, please encourage them to get involved in the planning process, by contacting Lisa Isaacman, Program Manager, Beaver River Watershed Alliance or call 587-201-5517.
The Beaver River watershed Alliance is also holding meetings with First Nations and Métis communities in the watershed.
